Hello, My Name is Kaitlyn Mentor. I am from Johannesburg in South Africa. I am qualified in business principles and practices. I enjoy dealing with finance, accounting and all aspects related to business management. I am able to teach all age groups. I have taught students from the age of 3 all the way to 70. I have been an online English teacher to Asian students for over five years.
I enjoy teaching because each day teachers come to school ready to tackle a job that is critically important, extraordinarily complex, often joyful, and at times, heartbreaking. In essence, teachers help others to become their best selves and I can think of no more important work.
I believe that I should allow my students the opportunity to see their mistakes and imperfections as part of the process. My overriding teaching philosophy is to guide students through the learning process. This necessitates me providing them with the tools for success by facilitating access to what some students may feels unattainable. The integration of technology is a great equaliser that helps foster a student-centred learning. Technology-rich environments allow students to venture away from isolated learning and into successful partnerships and small group settings.
